Stayed at Lake Huron Campground from the beginning of August through Labor day 2017. Splash pad and pool construction were not completed as of Sept 5. Stayed in a monthly pull through super site. Site was level, although the sewer pipe was about 6 inches above grade for some reason. Camp store had good pizza and really good wings. Also, good deal on firewood. Wifi was unavailable at our site (SP11). Sure it will be better once the construction is complete (hopefully next year). Nearest (Lake Huron) beach was small and not very sandy.
Great campground. Always clean and workers very friendly. Lots of stuff to do for the kids also. Only wish it would stay open until at least thanksgiving for the hunters that use to use the campground for gun season opener.
We were able to get a cabin last minute for laborday due to someone having to leave early. We were very pleased with the location and quality of the campground. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied, and the entire place is well kept and clean. Highly recommend!
This is one of the best campground we have been to in Michigan this year. We went at the end of the camping season, but you can see the amount of money they are investing back into the park with a new pool and splash pad. There is a pond, well kept arcade and activity center, and a well stocked camp store. There are almost 400 camp sites ranging from a handful of rustic sites to a majority of the sites that are electric/water or full hookup as well as camping cabins. There are a lot of activities for the kids. The campground has limited tree cover, but they planted trees that will eventually prove some shade trees. This is a great campground that is very well maintained.
Great place for kids! This is one of the nicest private campgrounds we have been to. Looking forward to the pool and splash pad opening next year. Our kids loved the beach and the arcade room. Very clean facility. We will be back in 2018!
